Stepping into the Dior showroom in Milan last December was a genuine luxury experience during the preview of Le Noël de Monsieur Dior. The event was highlighted by the presence of Cordelia de Castellane, the Artistic Director of Dior Maison, who demonstrated her ability to translate the house's heritage into a tactile experience. While presenting the beautifully staged room, she shared a central philosophy: true Art De La Table combines high aesthetic standards with a resonance of pure magic.
The preview highlighted a balance of distinct styles. The porcelain pieces are punctuated by the signature cannage motif in 24-carat gold as an emblem of splendor, while the settings featured glass candy cane decorations and fresh mini narcissus plants bowls, in bespoke Murano glassware handcrafted for Dior by Daniela Poletti.
This sublime Dior masterclass shows that a luxury table thrives on movement and dynamism, even when maintaining a formal setting. What gives it life is styling different elements that guests admire before being seated. Ultimately, dressing a table for the festive season remains a warm gesture of hospitality and an act of love.
